Theodore Hans Wuerfel, 85, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Nancy Bass Wuerfel died Monday, December 10, 2018. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 28, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am.

Theodore was born October 12, 1933 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, son of the late Theodore Wuerfel and the late Margaret Gilbert Wuerfel. He graduated from the University of Virginia, served in the United States Navy where he held the rank of Commander, and retired from the Polaroid Company as a Sales manager. He also was a volunteer with the International Primate Protection League.

He is survived by three sons, William Allen Wuerfel (Christel) of Kailua, HI, Thomas Carl Wuerferl (Debbie) of Summerville, SC and Stephen Fritz Wuerfel (Jan) of Kaneohe, HI; four grandchildren, Lance, Kelly, lindsey and Taylor Wuerfel; one great-grandchild, Lanea Wuerfel.
