Theodore Waaland, 67, of Johns Island, SC, husband of Alice B. Waaland, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 5, 2021. His memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Ted was born December 21, 1953 in Huntington, New York, son of Irving T. Waaland and the late Theresa Waaland. Ted loved spending time with his wife, Alice, and his dog, Dobie. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and traveling, playing poker recreationally, and was passionate about his work as a database administrator. He loved all of his children, was a proud father, and was a loving son, brother, and husband. He will be truly missed.

In addition to his wife, Theodore is survived by his children, Cory Waaland and Devin Waaland; his step-children, Jocelyn Graham (Gary), C. John Brannen (Heather), and Andrew Brannen; step-grandchildren, Alexandria Brannen and Owen Brannen; father, Irving T. Waaland; siblings, Scott Waaland, Neil Waaland, Jeffrey Waaland, and Diane Stein; and his beloved dog, Dobie. He is predeceased by his mother, Theresa Waaland; and his sister, Elizabeth Ivy-Waaland.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
