Theodore Seabrook, Sr., 84, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 31, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Grace Church Cathedral, 98 Wentworth Street at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the church. Theodore was born June 16, 1932 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of William M. Seabrook and Mary Grant Seabrook. He graduated from Burke High School and was the sexton, Clerk of the Works, and longtime member of Grace Church Cathedral. The Dean of Grace Church Cathedral writes: Theodore Seabrook's legacy was his loving and abiding presence at Grace for over 50 years. His faithfulness touched many and his caring helped to shape generations who still live among us. Well done, Theodore!
He is survived by his wife, Iris Gaillard Seabrook; daughter, Francine S. Bailey; three sons: James Nathaniel Seabrook (Ruth), George Edward Seabrook (Joenethia), and Theodore Seabrook, Jr. (Ronnie); three sisters: Albertha S. Bolds (Herman), Thelma S. Howard (Douglas) and Ruby Burroughs (Johnny); nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Theodore was preceded in death by his two brothers: William Seabrooks, Jr. and Philip White; and his sister, Dorothy Cromwell.
