Theodora Gregorie Warren, 92, of Charleston, widow of Dr. J. Hertz Warren Jr., entered eternal rest Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the Chapel at Bishop Gadsden at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr Downtown Chapel.Doe was born May 23, 1926, in Charleston, daughter of the late Philip Porcher Gregorie and Theodora Porter Gregorie. She was a graduate of Ashley Hall, attended Converse College and graduated from the College of Charleston. She was an avid tennis player and was a member of St. Michael's Anglican Church, the Ivy Garden Club, the Junior League of Charleston and the Colonial Dames.Doe is survived by her daughter, Theodora W. Truesdale (John) of Murrell's Inlet; step-son, John H. Warren III (Helen) of Charleston; daughter-in-law, Ellen Warren of Seneca; six grandchildren: Louise W. Newton, Caroline G. Warren, John A. Warren, Angus M. Warren, Parker S. Warren, William T. Warren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her step-son, Angus H. Warren; granddaughter, Anne P. Truesdale; and grandson, Thomas M. Warren.Memorials may be made to the Bishop Gadsden Resident Assistance Fund, 1 Bishop Gadsden Way, Charleston, SC 29412.
