Thelma Mary Chapman Hickman

Thelma Mary Chapman Hickman, 98, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Kenneth W. Hickman, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 1, 2015. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Thelma C. Hickman are invited to attend her funeral service at the graveside on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mrs. Hickman was born August 7, 1916 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Walter I. Chapman, Sr. and the late Sarah V. Mood Chapman. She was a graduate of Memminger High School. She was a homemaker and her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to her family and will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth W. Hickman, Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Folly Beach, SC and James "Jim" V. Hickman of Eutawville, SC and four, grandchildren, Joe Hickman and his wife, Annette, of James Island, SC, Chris Hickman of James Island, SC, Katie Drewry and her husband, Josh, of James Island, SC and Courtney Hickman of West Ashley, SC; two great grandchildren and a sister, betty Hughes of Ormond Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Dianne Hickman, three sisters, Dorothy C. Dresing, Virginia C. Adams and Sarah C. Drayton and two brothers, W. I. Chapman, Jr. and James M. Chapman.
