Thaddeus "Thad" James Pokryfka, 35, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 21, 2013. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 3, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street, at 11:00 a.m.

Thad was born on December 19, 1978 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Richard Thaddeus Pokryfka and Lorene Berree Pokryfka. Thad graduated from James Island High School and attended Seacoast Church. Thad's greatest joy in life was his son, Jamesyn, and his greatest hope in life was that he could be a good father to his son.

He is survived by his mother, Lorene Pokryfka; father, Richard T. Pokryfka, both of Charleston, SC; son, Jamesyn Matthew Pokryfka of Ravenel, SC; and a sister, Nicole Marie Pokryfka of Washington, DC. Thad was predeceased by his brother, Jon Joseph Pokryfka.
