Terry James Currier

September 19, 1964 — March 17, 2018

Terry James Currier, 53, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 17, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at World Harvest Community Church, 3441 W. Montague Avenue, North Charleston at 7:00 p.m. The family will hold a memorial service in New York at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Terry was born September 19, 1964 in Nashua, New Hampshire, son of Dorothy Cecile Jordan Currier and the late James Henry Currier. He was a graduate of USC. Terry was a Disability Examiner with SC Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.

He was a wonderful example and mentor for people with disabilities everywhere. He also opened his home to many people including foster children, wayward souls and lost dogs. He was a testament to courage to those of us who were able to do things easily while daily life was a challenge for him, when asked about this he would say "I am nothing special, just doing the best with what I was given." He had an intense faith in God that carried him through until the very end. Terry was an active member of World Harvest Community Church of North Charleston.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Connolly of Utica, NY, sister, Tammy Lee Currier of Sackets Harbor, NY, brother, Timothy Currier of No. Charleston, SC, nieces, nephews and many loving family members, along with his very special friend Jennifer Collier and girls, and his companion rescue dog Dougie.
