Terrell J. Anderson

Terrell Jacoway Anderson, 73, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 17, 2021. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Terrell was born December 16, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN, the youngest of three children of the late Hugh Caruthers Anderson and the late Juanita Reed Peay Anderson. He served in the Army and had a successful career as a marine engineer. He earned multiple technical certificates and excelled in his work at shipyards with boilers, turbines and heavy mechanical equipment. Terrell was well respected for his knowledge and strong work ethic. When he had time away from work he liked riding with fellow Harley enthusiasts, the trip to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally being a favorite. Drag racing, building and refurbishing motorcycles and cars were all hobbies he enjoyed. Terrell was an avid pool player and spent time cooking, grilling and smoking meat for meals with friends. Terrell was always known for being well dressed and groomed, even starching most of his clothes.

He is survived by two daughters, Carmen Opre (Brian) of Lake Mary, FL and LaVonne Anderson Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Robert "Bobby" Anderson (Jeannie) of Lakeland, FL; sister, Anita Wagoner of Asheville, NC; four grandchildren: Taylor Johnson (Megan), Austin Johnson, Alexandra Opre, and Ava Opre; two great-grandsons, Carter Johnson and Wyatt Johnson; and great-granddaughter, Ella Johnson.
