Teresa Kleckley Rogers, wife of John S Rogers, passed away peacefully at her home on March 24, 2025.

Teresa was born March 16, 1950 in Berkeley, California, the daughter of the late James W. Kleckley and Agnes Bowen Kleckley.

Teresa moved to Charleston, SC with her family when she was two years old. She attended Charleston County Schools and Graduated from St. Andrews High School and Palmer College.

Teresa started her career working for the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, L. Mendel Rivers in Washington, DC. She later became the Executive Assistant to Congressman Mendel Davis. In 1972 Teresa returned to Charleston and became the Executive Assistant for Dr. Albert Sabin, the inventor of the Oral Polio Vaccine. Upon his retirement she moved to Hospital Administration at The Medical University of South Carolina. Teresa retired from MUSC in 2012 after thirty-seven years.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, John S Rogers; sons, James S Rogers, Benjamin A Rogers, and Stepson John S Rogers,III (Jay); five Grandchildren, Ian C Rogers, Kathryn Rogers, Macie Rogers, Hannah Rogers, and Kyle Rogers. She is also survived by her brother, James W Kleckley.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a funeral service at 3:00 pm at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC. Burial will immediately follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
