Teresa "Laddie" McDermott Powers, 99, of Charleston, SC, widow of Francis E. Powers, died on the afternoon of November 29, 2011. All services will be held in York, PA.

Mrs. Powers was born in New Richmond, WI, the daughter of the late Bernard McDermott and Katherine Jiles McDermott.

She is survived by two daughters: Katherine Whiddon (Michael) of Charleston, SC and Helen Hayes (Robert) of Westminster, MD; seven grandchildren: Michael Whiddon, Jr., Charles Whiddon, Brian Whiddon, Fiona Hayes, Casey Hayes, Killian Hayes and Aidan Hayes; one great grandson: Michael Whiddon, III.
