Teresa Elizabeth Wright Pischner, 74, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022. Teresa was born January 5, 1948, in Knoxville, Tennessee, daughter of the late Kenneth D. Wright and the late Dorothy Scott Wright. She was a graduate of Young High School and the University of Tennessee, earning advanced degrees from the College of Nursing, UT Memphis. Teresa worked in hospital administration in Richmond, VA and Lexington KY as well as at the Medical University of South Carolina, in addition to teaching nursing students there, and working on the oncology unit at Roper St. Francis. During her eight years as the director of the Breast Navigator program at Roper St. Francis, her efforts benefited hundreds of women facing cancer.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Anne Pischner of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson, Hunter Lane Poston; and sister, Marcia Scott Wright of Canton, GA; nephew Daniel Wright Widner; niece Jennifer Lee Clark. Another niece, Brittany Ruth, preceded her in death.
Teresa’s memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday June 11, in J. Henry Stuhr Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends at 6:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, which will be conducted by Pastor Michael Morris of Seacoast Church, where Teresa attended services. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
