Tarah Lyn Smith, 19, of Summerville, SC, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 18, 2014. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am followed by cremation. Her family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Tarah was born July 11, 1994 in Alma, Michigan, daughter of Richard Wayne Smith II and Angela Foster Jacobs. Tarah was a talented singer and musician. She was working as a cashier at Harris Teeter and hostess at Applebees.

She is survived by her father, Richard Wayne Smith II; mother, Angela Foster Jacobs; four brothers: Austin Lee Spann, Andrew Michael Smith, Tylor and Koda Coston; two sisters, Gracie Elizabeth Gaughan and Megan Coston; paternal grandparents, Richard and Joan Smith; maternal grandparents, Robert and Lori Lott; grandfather, Michael Foster; aunt, Tabitha Foster and uncle, Andrew Foster. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Michelle Taylor.
