Tammy Fox Stine, 65, of Johns Island, South Carolina, wife of Robert J. Stine entered into eternal rest Monday, October 23, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Monday in the Downtown Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Tammy was born April 5, 1958 in Statesville, North Carolina, daughter of the late Leonard Calvin Fox and Betty Sue Troutman Fox. She worked as a surgical nurse in North Carolina for many years prior to moving to Charleston and becoming a stay at home mom. Tammy loved her three boys unconditionally and supported them in all of their activities. She loved volunteering at her children’s schools and always made sure their sports teams had plenty of drinks and snacks. Above all, family was the center of Tammy's life whether at her special place at the family farm or at one of her favorite vacation spots in the Bahamas, Lake Jocassee or Folly Beach. A house full of her children’s friends was a perfect day for her. Boating was another joy for her and there was nothing better than a beautiful sunset cruise shared with her best friend and husband. Tammy had many special friends and cherished the bond she developed with her Citadel Moms. There are so many other close friends who supported Tammy throughout her life and her family will be forever grateful to them too numerous to mention. The family would also like to express their gratitude to her care companion, Lesley Eybers and the Crescent Hospice team as well as Oncologist, Dr. James Orcutt and Cardiologist, Dr. James Smith.
Tammy is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert; three sons: Alex Westmoreland, Andrew Westmoreland and Gordan Stine all of Charleston, SC; one sister, Judy Morgan of Troutman, NC; and one brother, Terry Fox of Clarksville, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Folly Beach United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1079, Folly Beach, SC 29449 or the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.
