T. Edison Ogden

July 19, 1933 — August 2, 2010

T. "Ed" Edison Ogden, 77, husband of Judith Leonard Ogden of North Charleston, SC, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010.  The relatives and friends of  "Ed" Ogden are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, August 6, 2010 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2100 Bacons Bridge Road, Summerville, SC at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 5, 2010 in J HENRY STUHR NORTHWOODS CHAPEL from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.


Mr. Ogden was born July 19, 1933 in Syracuse, New York.  He was one of six children of the late Marshall Frederick Ogden and Mary Elizabeth Fairbank Ogden.  He served in the United States Army, was a Korean War combat veteran and served in the Army Corps of Engineers. Ed was a nationally licensed residential and commercial auctioneer, a HVAC Mechanical Engineer, a CDL truck driver, auto mechanic and farmer.  He held an Associate of Culinary Arts degree from Johnson and Wales and had served as an executive chef. He was called to serve as a temple worker with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Columbia, SC.


He is survived by his wife, Judith L. Ogden of North Charleston, SC; son, Michael Ogden and his wife, Merilee, of Baldwinsville, NY, twin sons, Tim Ogden of N. Syracuse, NY and Terry Ogden of Memphis, NY, daughter, Diana Hildreth and her husband, Bill, of Cato, NY, daughter, Sandra Partridge and her husband, Roger, of Ladson, SC, son, Gary Polmanteer II, of Goose Creek, SC; a brother, Richard Ogden, sister, Charlotte Ogden, sister, Marti Ogden, brother, Bill Ogden and brother, Don Hefti; twenty two grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Thom Ogden.


The family requests that memorials may be made to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2100 Bacons Bridge Road, Summerville, SC  29485
