Sylvia Goldberg Wolper passed away on November 16, 2012 in Miami, Florida after a brief illness.Sylvia was born December 24th, 1913 in Mogielnica, Poland to Rebecca and Israel Geldbart.She was predeceased by husband Louis Wolper; son, Marvin Wolper and grand-daughter, Janice Wolper Benator. She was also predeceased by siblings, Helen Feinstein, Dr. Ralph Geldbart, and Jack Geldbart.Surviving are son, Richard Wolper of Hollywood, FL; daughter Eileen (Larry) Joseph of Sunny Isles Beach, FL and daughter-in-law Jane Wolper of Charleston, SC.Surviving also are grand-daughters, Stacey (Brian) Tovin of Atlanta, GA, Cindy (Anthony) Borzillo of Davie, FL, Allison (Benjamin) Pollock of Huntington Woods, MI, Lindsey Wolper of Florence, SC, 10 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Sylvia spent most of her life in Charleston and was an active member of Hadassah, Synagogue Emanu-El and its sisterhood. In 2001 she moved to Miami and was a resident at Douglas Gardens. She loved life and people; she lived every day to its fullest.Graveside services will be held on Monday November 19th at 12:00 noon at Synagogue Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville). Rabbi Isser New of Atlanta will officiate. Shiva will be observed at the home of Eileen and Larry Joseph in Atlanta.
