Sylvia Ann Dangerfield, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, November 2, 2026. Her Celebration of Life will be held on November 14, 2026, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Sylvia was born December 8, 1935, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Seabrook Dangerfield and Jessie Masterson Dangerfield. Sylvia loved her game shows, enjoyed being an extra in many movies, and cherished happy hour with her friends while indulging in wine and cheese gatherings. She was an avid community volunteer and liked to dabble in water aerobics as well. She had a particular fondness for foods such as liver and gizzards, caviar, onion rings, and forever fried catfish.

Sylvia built a successful career at Southern Bell, retiring as a switchboard operator after 30 years of service.

She is survived by her brother, Michael Seabrook Dangerfield; her nephew, Hugh Heaton; and her great-nieces, Ashley Dangerfield, Laura Gallagher, Katherine Heaton and Jessie Dangerfield.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
