Syl was born on December 17, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Mary Margaret and Roman J. Mlott. He served in the Air Force in World War II, and practiced as a Clinical Psychologist at the Medical University of South Carolina until he retired in 1991.
Syl could build or repair anything, including the salt water dock he built at his residence on Shem Creek. He loved dogs, and enjoyed working around the house, reading, and fishing. He always had a warm smile for everyone he met and positively impacted all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Brent Mlott and his wife, Cherise, and Bruce Mlott of Atlanta, GA. He was a devoted husband and loving father who will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and love will be with him forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial be made to the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
