Entered into eternal rest on the evening of March 15, 2012, Sybil Florence Moore, of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 405 King Street, Charleston. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., Charleston.
Born August 18, 1939 in Charleston, SC, Sybil was the daughter of Eugene O'Neal Moore, Sr. and Florence Harley Moore. She was a retired Administrative Assistant with the Medical University of South Carolina and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She was active in Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and the Bell Choir.
Surviving are three daughters, Lisa Marie Sternke and husband Monte of Charleston, Jolie Westerman of Mebane, NC, Corrie Jane Miller and husband Khan of Franklin, TN; a son, Christopher "Kit" Westerman and wife Anna Huerta of Stamford, CT; and a brother, Eugene O'Neal Moore, Jr. and wife Jackie of Charleston. She was also survived by six grandchildren, Steffan Bassett, Max and Maya Huerta Westerman, Kayte, Bennett, and Carter Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Capital Campaign Fund, 405 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403.
