Sybil Nadine Kessler

Sybil Nadine Kessler, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 30, 2026. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Sybil was born August 27, 1935 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, daughter of the late Floyd Bowers and Bessie Cantrell Bowers. She was a devoted caregiver to anyone who needed help. Sybil had a way with words, and often enjoyed doing word puzzles, she kept a notebook that she used to help figure out the words. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening, especially caring for her African Violets.

She is survived by her son, Dale (Susan) Kessler of Walterboro, SC; three daughters, Debra Elaine (Barry) Grogen of Summerville, SC, Jean (Randy Bowman) Chambers of Charleston, SC, Cathy Lynn Kessler of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, Sharon Renee Grogen, Bradley Jonathan Grogen, Paul Eugene (Jenny) Chambers, Steven Ray (Katy) Chambers, Ashley Lauren Parr, Kenneth Miles (Kate) Kessler; great-grandson, Bodhi Chambers; sister, Peggy Prosser of Tampa, FL; and many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Barker
