She was a long time member of the Kiawah-Seabrook Island Exchange Club where she successfully recruited advertising sponsors; collected, updated and helped publish their phone directory. From 1995 to 2011 Susan enjoyed walking the beach daily with friends or in solitude in search of loggerhead turtle nests as part of the Seabrook Island Turtle Patrol. An avid reader, Susan belonged to two Book Clubs on Seabrook. A long time member of the Seabrook Island Natural History Group, she was well liked as a leader of many events. Susan was a celebrated stained glass artist and her work can be found throughout Charleston and the Low Country.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Arlene Yentz and her Aunt Edie. Susan leaves her best friend, her dog Sawyer, with whom she walked the beaches 1,000 of times in search of adventure and beauty. Sue touched all of us with her infectious positive attitude and exuberance for life.
