The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 6:30pm, in Epworth United Methodist Church. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Tuesday between 3:00 and 5:00 pm.
Ms. Rogers was born October 12, 1943 in Ridgewood, NJ, the daughter of Walter Walker and Barbara Dunning Walker Reid. She was a graduate of Green Mountain College in Vermont. Susan's interests included training and developing a synchronized swim team of 30-40 children, ages 6 to 16, in her High Crest Lake, West Milford, NJ neighborhood where she also had served as President of this 300 home lakefront community. She was a retired Sales Representative of typesetting equipment. With a desire for more frequent interaction with her grandchildren, Susan moved to Charleston. Here she also found a rewarding and peaceful fellowship in her relationship with Epworth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons: Thomas Rogers of Charleston, SC, David Rogers of Los Angeles, CA and Stephen Rogers of Charleston, SC; one brother: Walter Walker of Cape Coral, FL; and seven grandchildren: Brianna, Tommy, Kayla, Erik, Tara, Stella and Sammy.
