Susan Shaw Hufham, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2026. Born in Florence, SC she was the daughter of the late D.Charles Shaw, Sr. and Elizabeth Winship Cole Shaw.

Susan was a graduate of Converse College. Susan devoted her career to helping others through social work. Early in her career, she worked with children and later dedicated herself to serving and advocating for the elderly until her retirement.

She was an active member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. She never met a stranger and deeply cherished the lifelong friendships she nurtured from childhood through her college years and beyond. Susan especially loved taking trips and making memories with her family and friends.

Above all, Susan's greatest joy was her family.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and mother-in-law, and a proud "Tutu" to her "favorite grandson".

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Hufham; her favorite daughter, Elizabeth, favorite son-in-law Chip of Charleston; and her favorite grandson, Charlie Davis as well as stepbrothers, in-laws, nieces, and nephew. A special thank you to Celisa Gibbs for her loving care and help.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 17 at 3:30pm at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
