Sue Hendrix Johnson

Sue Hendrix Johnson, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late William T. Johnson passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013. The relatives and friends of Sue Johnson are invited to attend her Funeral Service to be held at the graveside at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in the Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mrs. Johnson was born January 1, 1925 in Augusta, Georgia, daughter of the late Charles Watson and Hazel Mildred Hill Hendrix. She was a member of Eastern Star and Mann Memorial United Methodist Church of Augusta, GA. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she devoted her life to her husband and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Billie J. Lewis and her husband, Clifford, of Mount Pleasant, SC; her son, Michael W. Johnson and his wife, Charlene, of Leesville, SC; her sister, Joe Ann Nathan and her husband, Edward, of Blairsville, GA; her grandchildren, Elaine McGuire Simmons and her husband, Bill, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Kevin S. McGuire of Charleston, SC, and William Edward "Billy" Johnson of Leesville, SC; and her great-grandchildren, William R. Simmons, III, Katelin M. Simmons, and Christie Johnson.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made in Sue's name to the Fort Jackson Masonic Lodge, No. 374, 4735 Jackson Blvd, Columbia, SC 29209 or Mann Memorial United Methodist Church, 2705 Milledgeville Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
