Steven Roy Hurn

Steven Roy Hurn, 60, of Johns Island, South Carolina died Wednesday, June 22, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held Monday, June 27, 2016 at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service in the Northwoods Chapel.

Steven was born September 18, 1955 in Fredericksburg, Virginia, son of the late Clara Cazer Hurn and the late Roy Orville Hurn. He was an Air Force veteran and retired after 23 years as a detective with the Charleston County Sheriff's Department.

Steven is survived by two sons, Michael Steven Hurn and Sean Thomas Hurn both of Charleston, SC; sister, Susan Hurn Hash (Dennis)of Paris, KY; cousin, Glynda Tarpley of Little Rock, AR; two nieces, Mary Beth Rifenburgh (Dan) of Sandston, VA, Sara Harrison (Andrew) of Lexington, KY; two great-nieces, Madison and Abigail Rifenburgh; and long time friend and caregiver, Shelayne Witte of Goose Creek, SC.
