Steve Smith, 61, of Isle of Palms SC, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, at home. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Services will be private.
Steve, known as "Blade" to many, was born July 16, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia, son of the late Rev. Ridley George Smith Jr. and the late Josephine Ann Cannon Smith. He was employed by Lowes, associated with the VFW on IOP, and a member of the Sunday Golf Blitz.
He is survived by his partner, Belinda Shaffer of Isle of Palms, SC; two sisters, DeAnn Roddy and her partner, Ray Thompson, of Mount Pleasant SC, and Donna Pluchel and her husband, Ray, of Lake Mary, FL; one brother, Glenn D. Smith and his wife, Elaine, of Goose Creek SC; one nephew, Thomas Sims of Athens, TN; and one niece, Samantha Sims of Orlando FL.
In lieu of flowers or money donations, to honor Steve's generous spirit the family requests you contribute a random act of kindness to an unknown or known person of your choosing.
