Steve Kenneth Metts, Jr., 63, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Rhonda Wrenn Metts, entered into eternal rest Friday, December 5, 2025. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 12, 2025 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Friday, one hour prior to the service.

Kenny was born July 11, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Steve Kenneth Metts, Sr. and Marie Jeffers Metts. Kenny grew up on John's Island, SC where he graduated from Sea Island Academy Class of 1980. Kenny was an outstanding athlete. He played football for the Sun Devils, but basketball was where he really excelled. He was selected as a member of the SCISA All State Team. He was voted Most Popular and Most Athletic his senior year. Quoting his yearbook, "Kenny stars as an athlete and a friend."

After graduation, Kenny went to work at Soil Consultants and then the Charleston Navy Yard, until finally he purchased his own Pepperidge Farm route which he owned for many years. In recent years, he worked to reunite lost luggage with its proper owner. A job that would have him traveling from one end of the Lowcountry to the other.

Kenny married his high school sweetheart, Rhonda Wrenn, in 1985. They were married for 40 years and raised two beautiful daughters. Kenny was a loving father and devoted husband. He was also known as "Pops" to his grandson, Landon, who he cherished dearly.

Kenny loved fishing with his friends and was a huge Clemson Tigers fan.

Kenny was the kind of friend who would be there if you needed him. All you had to do was call. His many friends will cherish all the memories made over a lifetime.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughters, Wren Marie Metts, Jade Metts Eubanks, grandson, Landon Eubanks, brother, Kevin Leroy Metts, his wife, Brenda and niece, Erica Mullen (Robbie), as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roddy Jeffers, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Metts.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
