Stephanie Ann Ruley, 30, of Brooklyn, New York and formerly of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the New York Presbyterian Hospital due to complications following a brain aneurism. Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Our King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Stephanie was born May 24, 1985 in New York, New York, daughter of David Paul Ruley and the late Rylee Ann Routh. She grew up in Westchester County, New York and later Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, graduating from Porter Gaud School. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Tufts University in 2007. She was a valuable member of the Tufts tennis team. After graduating, Stephanie returned to New York, the city that she loved, working for the British Consulate as a Performance and Technology Officer in the UK Trade and Investment group. She lived in Brooklyn with the love of her life, William Johnson. She was a compassionate, vivacious and beautiful soul whose life touched so many. Her light and love will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.
Stephanie leaves behind her father, David Ruley, of Mount Pleasant and her brother, Jack Ruley of Los Angeles, CA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rylee Routh and together they are at peace.
