Sten Erik Lundgren

Sten Erik Lundgren, 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Ernestine Catherine Lundgren, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 15, 2022.

Sten was born January 29, 1934 in Aarhus, Denmark, son of the late Per Erik Lundgren and the late Audrey Draiby Lundgren. After service in the Swedish military, he worked as Mechanical engineer in the aircraft, audio / video and automotive industry for over 45 years.

In addition to his wife, Sten is survived by his daughter, Karina Desiree Key and husband Larry; his sons, Kevin Erik Lundgren and wife Monica and Todd Ernest Lundgren and wife Anne; his grandchildren Charles, Ella, Jonathan, Benjamin, Liam and Aidan; his brother Stig Lundgren and wife Lilian; as well as many nieces and nephews throughout Canada and Sweden.

Friends and family will remember Sten as someone with many passions in his life. He loved restoring antique cars, most notably a 1924 Dodge Brothers. He loved the outdoors and spending time in the mountains. He had a great love for animals, especially cats and dogs. He was a loving family man that enjoyed spending time with his family at home or traveling. 

His Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 pm. There will also be a visitation for friends and family on Sunday, August 21, 2022 beginning at 3 PM at 1987 Ashley River River Rd.

Memorial donations may be made in Sten's honor to Lakeside Animal Rescue.
