Stella Mary Martin

Stella M. Martin, 86, of Hanahan, SC, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010, in a local hospital.

Born December 24, 1923 in New Bedford, MA she was one of two children of Peter Folcik and Mary Szot Folcik.  Ms. Martin retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard; she was a computer operator.

Ms. Martin is survived by her daughter, Patricia Mouzon of North Charleston, SC; three grandchildren:  Mary Anne Martin of Hanahan, SC, Teddy Martin and his wife Krystal of Summerville, SC and Stasia Mouzon of North Charleston, SC; three great-grandchildren:  Hope Proctor, Emma Martin and Teddy Martin, Jr.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Teddy Folcik.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held in Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, Monday, December 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM.  The Rite of Committal to follow at Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road Sunday, December 26, 2010 with vigil prayers beginning at 4:00 PM followed by visitation until 6:00 PM.
