Stanley Jules Stewart

Stanley Jules Stewart, 93, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 19, 2024. A private service will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Stanley was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 30, 1931 to the late Louis and Jean Stangel Stewart. He was a doting husband to his wife of 68 years and a devoted father of five. He loved being surrounded by his extended family, especially during the holidays. Stanley was a unique individual, known for his lifelong intellectual curiosity and thirst for knowledge. After proudly serving in the United States Air Force, Stanley became a respected member of the recycling industry, where, outside the responsibilities of his own businesses, he served in local and national level office. He will be remembered for his warm heart and his afternoon chats.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sophie, son David and brother George. He leaves behind three sons, Steven (Cindy), Paul (Deena), Martin and one daughter, Liane (Steven); daughter-in-law Katherine; many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren who will forever cherish his memory.
