HMCS Stanley Brown, USN Ret., 84, of Summerville, SC, loving husband to Barbara Lee Berger, died Monday, August 8, 2016 at his home. His memorial service will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:30 pm. The burial with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be announced.

Stanley was born August 22, 1931 in Washington, D.C. son of the late Sidney Brown and Betty Katz Brown. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, a retired clinical lab manager and a member of the American Legion Post 166.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Lee Berger; his loving children and grandchildren: Tobi Lynn Brown, Steven Corey Brown (Kelye) and Linda Arleen Casey (Robert), grandson, Zachary Lee Barnhill all of MD; stepdaughter, Jodi Ann Parker and step-granddaughter, Brittni Michelle Parker both of MD; stepson, Kenneth Allen Moss of CA; ; and five sisters-in-law, one of them a very special sissie, Florence Zak and special bro, Alvin Zak who were an integral part of the beautiful life Barbara and Stan built. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Ann Brown.
