Stacie Carson Benton

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of January 1, 2011, Stacie Carson Benton, of Hanahan, SC. The relatives and friends of Stacie are invited to attend her funeral service in Cherokee Place United Methodist Church, 2105 Cosgrove Avenue, Charleston on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 3:30 pm.  Interment, Carolina Memorial Park.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road on Monday, January 3^rd, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.

Stacie was born on April 10, 1954 in Charleston, SC, a daughter of Milton Asbury (Mac) Carson, Sr. and Florence Hughes Carson.  She was an elementary teacher for 25 years with the Charleston County School District.

She is survived by her mother, Florence; two daughters, Lauren Carson and Christin Mims; granddaughter, Chloe Carson Norwood; siblings: Edie Elizabeth Carson, Milton Carson, Jr. and Brenda Howell (Jeremy); nieces and nephews: Milton A. Carson, III, Craig Sineath, Jr., Chelsea Sineath, Katie Sineath and Clayton Carson.  She was preceded in death by her father, Mac Carson.
