Sonia "Sunnie" Bovier Jones

Sonia "Sunnie" Bovier Jones, 78, of Folly Beach, South Carolina, wife of William D. Jones, Jr. entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 16, 2017. Her memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in James Island Presbyterian Church, 1632 Fort Johnson Road at 10:00. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.
Sonia was born October 9, 1939 in Washington, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Reverend Owen L. Bovier and Edna Mae Cline Bovier. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio before marrying the love of her life. After spending over 20 years in Atlanta raising her children, she and her husband retired to Folly Beach where she enjoyed volunteering with the Folly Beach Turtle Watch Program and attending James Island Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, William, of Folly Beach; daughter, Julie Mae Jones of James Island, SC; son, William D. "Bucky" Jones, III of Santa Cruz, CA; granddaughter, Anna Mae Bailey-Jones; and two sisters: Bunnie Bouvier Dunstone of Santa Barbara, CA and Sophia Bouvier of Carlsbad, CA .
