Sonia Sokol Greenberg, 85, of Boynton Beach, FL, widow of D. Stanley Feinberg and William Greenberg, died Saturday, January 22, 2022.
Sonia was born April 29, 1936, in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Morris Paul Sokol and the late Ida Lerner Sokol. She graduated from Rivers High School and attended the University of Georgia until she met her first husband, the late D. Stanley Feinberg. She was fortunate and found love a second time and was married to William Greenberg until he passed away in 1999. Sonia was also predeceased by her siblings Jean Sokol Rosner and Joseph H. Sokol.
She was involved in various Jewish organizations. Sonia was a lifelong member of Hadassah, a past president of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue sisterhood, and a Jewish Federation Lions of Judah member.
She is survived by her children: Neal Feinberg of Columbia, MD, Lee Allen Feinberg (Mikki) of Coral Gables, FL, Toby Myers (Geff) of Windermere, FL, Amy Zook (Michael Binder) and Bennett Greenberg (Ann); eight grandchildren: Ian Myers, Will Myers, Sophie Feinberg, Jake Feinberg, Stephanie Feinberg, Glenn Feinberg, Emily Greenberg and Alex Trundle as well as four great- grandchildren: Charlie and Lilah Greenberg and Reese and Violet Trundle. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Herbert Rosner and sister-in-law, Freida Sokol, both of Charleston, SC and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral service will be held at the graveside, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue, at 12:00 p.m. where social distancing and masks will be required of those attending.
