SMSgt. Buddy R. Griffin, Sr., USAF Ret., 83, of Hanahan, SC, died Friday, March 16, 2018. His memorial service will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018, in the Messiah Lutheran Church, 1106 Yeamans Hall Road at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Buddy was born July 20, 1934 in Lynchburg, VA, son of the late Emmett and Arrie Griffin. He was a USAF retired veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was also retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard and attended Messiah Lutheran Church.
He is survived by wife of 39 years, Gloria Griffin of Hanahan, SC; three sons: Buddy Ray Griffin, Jr. of James Island, SC, Rick Faulk of Hanahan, SC, Andrew Faulk (Nancy) of North Charleston, SC; two daughters, Lisa Faulk Eubanks (Bill) of Lyman, SC and Lori Faulk Creech (Scott) of Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren: Thomas Griffin, Arrie Griffin, Taylor Eubanks, Griffin Eubanks, Logan Creech and Addison Creech.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 and/or Messiah Lutheran Church, 1106 Yeamans Hall Road, Hanahan, SC 29410.
