Shizue Funamoto Wiand

Shizue "Suzie" Funamoto Wiand, 79, of Summerville, SC, wife of Thomas Alden Wiand, died Monday, May 24, 2010, in a local hospital. Born September 28, 1930, in Pusan, Korea she was the daughter of Zengoro Funamoto and Taki Funamoto. She and her husband of more than 55 years, raised their family together while he served in the US Navy. Mrs. Wiand is survived by her husband Tom Wiand of Summerville, SC; children: Linda KW Bennett and her husband Phil of Atlanta, GA; Patty Wiand Sineath and her husband Robert of Lumber Bridge, NC; Tim Wiand and his wife Julie of North Charleston, SC, Tracy Wiand and his wife Tammy of Suffolk, VA; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother; one sister and a large extended family in Japan. The memorial service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service. Casual attire is welcome.
