Shirley Mae Stowe

Shirley Mae Stowe,78, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Jimmie Ray Stowe entered into eternal rest April 3, 2019. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Shirley was born October 11, 1940 in Vienna, Virginia, daughter of the late James Francis Downs and Frances Lucinda Seese Downs. She was the owner of Task Masters Tax Preparation Services. Shirley was a former girl scout leader, active member of the Orange Grove Elementary PTA, and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and gardening.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Stowe Owsley (Adam) of Charleston, SC, and Kimberly Stowe of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Victoria Owsley, and Erica Fowler; two sisters, Sylvia Cleeland (David) of Louisville, KY, Linda Meeks of Gordonsville, VA, and brother, Raymond Downs (Kim Marie) of Freeport, FL.
