Shirley Ann Slater

Shirley Ann Slater, 81, of Goose Creek, South Carolina and widow of Robert Arnold Slater, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Her funeral service will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Shirley was born October 13, 1944, in Statesboro, Georgia, the daughter of Willie Mitchel Brannen and Blanche Williams Brannen. She was a server for many years in the food and hospitality industry until her retirement. Shirley was a devoted Christian and Methodist. She was the life of the party and never met a stranger. She had a wicked personality.

She is survived by her daughters, Roberta "Bobbie" Lynn Slater-Patrick (Dale) of Goose Creek, South Carolina, and Tracy Marie Slater (David) of Summerville, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Melissa Patrick, Caleb Patrick, and Samantha Plowden (Dillon); great grandson (Edgar Barbour) and her sister, Mary Jane Kearley and many nieces and nephews.
