Shirley Stevenson Moody

Shirley Stevenson Moody, 82, of Goose Creek, SC, wife of Jackie M. Moody entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 12, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 16, 2016 in North Charleston United Methodist Church, 1125 E. Montague Avenue at 11:00 am. Interment will be held at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Shirley was born December 23, 1933 in Long Beach, CA, daughter of the late Joseph Stevenson and Ethel Bingham Stevenson. She graduated from North Charleston High School, attended the College of Charleston and graduated from Rice Business College. She worked in the engineering department at West Virginia Pulp and Paper for five years and with the Charleston County Schools for 15 years. Her primary goal in life was taking care of family. She was a lifetime member of North Charleston United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Moody is preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Moody Livingston. She is survived by her husband of 60 years; her son, Jackie M. Moody, Jr. (Marty); granddaughters, Shelby Livingston of Chicago, IL and Taylor Livingston of Charleston, SC; her brother, Joseph E. Stevenson (Miriam); brothers and sisters-in-law: Millard and Love Moody, Ronald and Pat Moody and William and Brenda Moody; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
