Shirley Mitchum Edwards

Shirley Mitchum Edwards, 63, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Benny Clark Edwards entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 6, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday March 9, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Shirley was born April 15, 1952 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Willie Roland Mitchum and Addie Frierson Mitchum. She was a retired Real Estate Broker. Shirley was a member of the Eastern Star, and PBC Association.

She is survived by her husband, Benny Clark Edwards of North Charleston, SC; three daughters, Tammy L. Moore of Greer, SC, Michelle Elizabeth Neuschwanger of Liberty, SC, and Tara M. Vitollo of Summerville, SC; two brothers, Joe White, and George White of both of NC; two sisters, Bertie Malone of OH, and Deborah Burbage of SC; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers, Roland S. Mitchum, and Ernest W. Mitchum.
