Shirley Dunlap Aydlett

Shirley Dunlap Aydlett, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Elijah "Frank" Francis Aydlett, Jr., entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 12, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday February 15, 2017 in The Church of the Good Shepherd, 1393 Miles Drive at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday February 14, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Shirley was born August 14, 1934 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Robert Nathaniel Dunlap and Mildred Swearingen Mitchum. She was a retired registered nurse with Roper Hospital. Shirley was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Mallard (Ernie); two sons, Frank Gary Aydlett (Rhonda), Andrew "Andy" Aydlett all of Charleston, SC; brother, Robert "Bobby" Nathaniel Dunlap, Jr.; five grandchildren, Benjamin Aydlett, Lindsay McLeod, Jess McDonald, Jennifer M. Werts (Nick), Rachel Mallard, five great-grandchildren, Madison, Zion, Colton, Brayden, Ansley and family members. She was predeceased by her sister, Roberta Grether.
