Shirley J. Ackerman, 88 of Awendaw, SC, wife of the late John B. Ackerman, Jr., entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 2, 2022. 

Shirley was born July 2, 1933 in Awendaw, SC. She was the daughter of the late James Walter Jackson and Florence Estelle (Lynes) Jackson.

She is survived by her children, Duane Ackerman, Amelia Ackerman, Patrice Ackerman and Dale Ackerman (Susan); grandchildren, Benjamin Ackerman (Kelly), Megan Ackerman; and great grandchildren, Haley, John, Taylar, Olivia and Moriah.

The graveside service will be held at Wilson Cemetery on Tuesday, June 7, at 10:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel.
