Shirlee Anne Roberson, 69, of Mount Pleasant, wife of the late John Roberson entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Roanoke, Virginia after an extended illness. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Shirlee was born December 7, 1948 in Bethesda, Maryland, daughter of the late Warren S. Dowson and Jeanne Hoffert (Dowson) Cody. For 33 years she was an Administrative Assistant and Accounts Manager for Advertising Service Agency in Charleston, SC.

She is survived by her stepfather, Rodger Cody, Sr., as well as siblings, Diane Finkelstein (Lester), Warren Dowson, Jr., Susan Avriett (Alan), Jeanne Hilko (Mike), Rodger Cody, Jr. (Michelle) as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirlee was preceded in death by her husband, John Roberson and her son, Christopher P. Freeman.
