Sherry Elizabeth Mullings, 70, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Joseph Patrick Mullings passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, after several years of battling Alzheimer's. The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd.
Sherry was born October 22, 1953 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Robert Haynes and the late Mary Lou Davis Haynes. Sherry dedicated three decades of her life as a Radiology Transcriptionist at Roper Hospital, where her skill left an indelible mark. Her commitment to her career was a testament to her work ethic and passion for helping others. Beyond her professional life, Sherry's vibrant personality shone through in various ways. She found joy in simple pleasures like playing bingo and had a special fondness for ladybugs. One couldn't help but smile watching her sing and dance while her husband Pat played the guitar - moments that captured the essence of their love and companionship.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph “Pat” Mullings, her sister Bonnie “Wezi” Manos, her three daughters, Holly Patrick, Kristen Zayas-Bazan, and Caitlin Boles, and her four grandchildren Summer Knight, Jordan Knight, Raul Patrick Zayas-Bazan, and Zoe Zayas-Bazan. Last but not least her beloved dog, Oliver, who was by her side to the very end. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rusty Haynes, her father William Robert Haynes and her sweet mother Mary Lou Davis.
