Sheila Marie McGinnis Spung

Sheila McGinnis Spung (80) wife of Albert H. Spung of Mt. Pleasant, SC died March 17, 2014. The family and friends of Sheila Spung are invited to a service at 11:00 am on April 3, 2014 at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will recieve friends immediately following the service. Sheila was born 9-3-1933 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Francis J. McGinnis and Mary Coyle McGinnis. She grew up and lived most of her life in Birmingham, Michigan. Sheila graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in elementary education and was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She was also employed as a personnel consultant & worked as a corporate recruiter for Verizon. Sheila & Albert retired to Mt. Pleasant in 1996 & made many wonderful friends & memories here.

Sheila will always be remembered for her warm smile, sincere kindness, ready wit and humor. She is dearly missed.

Sheila is survived by: her husband Albert; two sons Peter A. Spung & wife Lisa of Wilton, CT; John L. Spung & wife Valerie of Park City, UT; daughter Mimi Bradley & husband Donald Bradley of Hinsdale, IL and four grandchildren Jessica & Laura Spung, Leah & Cullen Bradley. She is also survived by 3 sisters: Mrs. Fred Eckhout of Cheboygan, Michigan; Mrs. Vincent Hayes & Mrs. John Cook of Birmingham, Michigan and her brother FJ McGinnis of San Diego, CA.
