Shealy Grover Pendarvis, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Ann Montgomery Pendarvis entered into eternal rest Monday, October 15, 2012. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Epworth United Methodist Church, 1540 Camp Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Shealy was born August 31, 1919 in Harleyville, South Carolina, son of Charlie Asberry Pendarvis and Minnie Lee Pendarvis. He retired as a Supervisor Right of Way with SCEandG. He was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School. Mr. Shealy was a US Navy Veteran who served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge # 396, James Island, American Legion Post # 14, James Island and the V.F.W. #445, James Island.

He is survived by his son: Shealy G. Pendarvis, Jr. (Mary) of Charleston, SC; his daughter: Debbie P. Fogleman (Chip) of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren: Shannon, Neal, Krystal, Alicia, Sara and Scott; six great-grandchildren: Lola, Patrick, Isabelle, John, Xavier and Vivian and his sister, Miriam (Mickey) Evans of Sumter, SC
