Sharon Gail Blackwell, 68, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of John A. Blackwell, went to be with her Lord Sunday, November 11, 2012. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Sharon was born February 21, 1944 in Manchester, North Carolina, daughter of Gerald Andrew Kern and Myra Kay Lee Kern. She loved her dog, Holly and all of her grand-animals and was an avid reader. She attended Bethany United Methodist Church, James Island.

She is survived by her husband: John A. Blackwell; daughter, Katherine F. Burn (Philip); son, John A. Blackwell, IV (Pam) both of James Island, SC; sister, Phyllis Cardona of Waterford, MI.
