Thomas Martin Shannon passed away peacefully at his home in Mt. Pleasant, SC, on February 25, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born on May 14, 1943, in Syracuse, NY, to Thomas and Jean Shannon.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Shannon; his son, William Shannon; his daughter, Kelly Shannon; his nine adoring grandchildren: Timothy Shannon, Eric Shannon, Nicohl Cave, Cameron Blanchard, Austin Blanchard, Blake Naetzel, Madison Naetzel, Kassidy Naetzel, and Rylee Naetzel; and his five beloved great-grandchildren: Tatum Naetzel, Beckett Cave, Noah Shannon, Rory Cave, and William Shannon.

He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Catherine Shannon Blanchard.

After a 30-year career in the restaurant equipment business, he moved to South Carolina with his wife, where he enjoyed the beach, golf, traveling internationally with dear friends, and spending time with his beloved family. For all who knew him, he will be remembered for his big, generous heart; his strength; his great sense of humor; his flair for entertaining; and his unconditional love of family.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at a later date. We have decided to delay his memorial to allow time to coordinate travel so we can celebrate his life with friends and family from across the country.
