Savaughn Janet Ilderton Caddell

Savaughn Janet Ilderton Caddell, 81, of Summerville, South Carolina, widow of Vonnie Marvette Caddell died Friday, June 17, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Savaughn was born June 4, 1935 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Augustus A. Ilderton and the late Minola Savaughn Hawkins Ilderton. She was a former manager of Cherokee Place United Methodist Church Daycare where she was a lifetime member. She was also a substitute teacher and administrative assistant at Chicora Elementary School.

She is survived by son, Dayne Marvette Caddell (Leslie) of Summerville, SC; daughter, Corrie Helton (Shawn) of Goose Creek, SC; six grandchildren: Eric, Janet Marie, Kristina, Kimberly, Dayne Jr. and Brandon; four great-grandchildren with twins expected; and sister, Geraldine DeCandio of James Island, SC.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vonnie Marie Markham, and a sister, Madeline Long.
