Sarah Elizabeth Etchison Tigner, 72, of Awendaw, South Carolina, wife of William Lee Tigner passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in the First United Methodist Church - Isle of Palms. Interment will be private at a later date. Arrangements by J. Sarah was born March 23, 1943 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, daughter of the late Frank Etchison and Mary Anna Kathryn Engle Etchison. She was a retired nurse, having cared for patients at the Charleston County Hospital, Roper Hospital, and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. She enjoyed boating, fishing and anything outdoors or on the water. Sarah especially loved to work around her mountain house on Cold Mountain, North Carolina.

She is survived by her husband of sixteen years, William Lee Tigner of Awendaw, SC; her children, Heather Hope Douglas of Hanahan, SC and Daniel G. Hope of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth Hope and Philip Kent Douglas; her brothers, Leslie Etchison of Charlottesville, VA and Phil Etchison of Alpharetta, GA; and her sister, Mary Ann Nichols of San Diego, CA.
